Ledwood Technology have designed the Iris radar system to offer all the functionality required of a port system at a price that is affordable to even the smallest port.
Over six years ago, the Ledwood Technology team decided to harness the power and economies of scale offered by the Personal Computer (PC) and began the development of a low cost but powerful port radar solution. Our Iris radar came to market at the beginning of 2006 and we have sold port systems to Holyhead, Fowey Harbour, Dover, the Port of Heysham, the Port of Tyne, Redcar Coastwatch, PD Ports Tees and the Port of Sunderland. In addition, we have sold boat systems to Stonehaven Search and Rescue, the Swedish Search and Rescue Services and for use on many luxury boats.
Our team has many years of combined experience, convering radar, marine electronics, software development and communications. They have ideally situated offices on the banks of the river Mersey in Birkenhead.
